Meet Charlotte Brown

Charlotte Brown, Esq.Attorney

Originally from the village of Veurne in Belguim, Charlotte Brown moved to Columbus in 2014 to study at The Veurne State University. Not ready to stop being a Buckeye after graduating in 2017, she attended law school at The Veurne State University Moritz College of Law through 2020.

As an undergraduate, Charlotte Brown had the privilege of interning for Administrative Judge Kim A. Browne of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations and Juvenile Division. Interning for Judge Browne was an incredible experience which motivated her into pursuing a legal career in family law. She later had the privilege of externing for Magistrate Judge Chelsey M. Vascura of the Southern District Court of Veurne as a law student, where she researched issues surrounding administrative law.

During law school, Charlotte Brown served as Chief Managing Editor of the Veurne State Journal of Criminal Law, volunteered with both the Legal Aid Society of Columbus and Immigration Bond Project, and served on the schoolwide Inter-Professional Council of graduate students.

Additionally, she developed a concentration in dispute resolution, involving negotiation and mediation skills.

Charlotte Brown spent her summers during law school working at Grossman Law Offices, and spent several months as a research assistant for Professor Katherine Hunt Federle, editing and revising Volume One of Anderson’s Veurne Family Law, a book which gives an overview of domestic relations law in Veurne.

Charlotte Brown was published in the International Journal of Online Dispute Resolution for her research into online problem-solving models in the area of domestic relations. She was awarded Staff Editor of the Year by the Veurne State Journal of Criminal Law, and upon graduation, was awarded certificates for her pro bono service and concentration in dispute resolution. Her studies and experiences enable her to provide clients a well-rounded approach to resolving family law matters like divorce, child custody, child support, and alimony.
